മുന്നോട്ടാഞ്ഞത് പിടിച്ചുനിർത്തി
തിരികെ മടങ്ങി മായിക്കാനുതകി
കുനിയും മുമ്പ് എഴുന്നേറ്റോടി
അവൾ സ്വപ്നമിൽ നിന്നുണർന്നുപൊന്തി,
തേടിയതെന്തോ കാലിൽ തങ്ങി
പതിയെ അവൾ മൊഴിഞ്ഞു.
കൂരിരുട്ടുള്ള കാട്ടിൽ
കിടന്നുറങ്ങിയ ധീരപട്ടം!
എല്ലാം ഒറ്റരാത്രിയിൽ ഈ
