രാത്രി ഞാനും മാതാവിനോട്
കിടന്നുറങ്ങി
ഇരുട്ട് ടോർച്ചടിച്ചപ്പോൾ
ആരോ കതകിൽ മുട്ടി
പക്ഷെ ഞാനും മതവും
അതറിഞ്ഞില്ല
രാത്രിയിൽ പകൽ മാറാട്ടം
നടത്തിയപ്പോ ഞാൻ ഉണർന്നു
കണ്ണ് തുറന്നപ്പോൾ കരച്ചിൽ
കൂമ്പാരം
അല്ല
ഞാൻ അത് കേട്ടാണ് ഉണർന്നത്
എന്റെ നോട്ടം ശുന്യതയിൽ തങ്ങി
മരുഭൂമിയെ പോലെ ഒരു തരിശു ഭൂമി
ആ ഇരുട്ടിൽ വന്നയാൾ
എന്റെ ചങ്ങാതിമാരെ കൊണ്ട് പോയി
ഞാനവരെ തിരഞ്ഞു
പക്ഷെ എനിക്ക് കിട്ടിയേത്
വിയുറപ്പിന്റെ സുഗന്ധം മാത്രം
